Borealis Festival 2010 – Identity

Borealis is a festival for contemporary music, noise and sound art that takes place every year in Bergen, Norway. The Borealis festival identity is an ongoing project that MVM started developing four years ago. Each year has its own theme. The theme for 2010 was centered around nationalities and utopian societies. The graphic language is based on the strict geometrical shapes found in flags. The darker green and the pinkish red fluorescent colour used in printed material gives it a more quirky and humorous touch.
As well as designing the printed material and merchandise, the Borealis website got a redesign this year.
